Board of Trustees

The Clackamas County Vector Control District (CCVCD) is looking for County residents interested in preventing vector born illnesses to fill several Board of Trustee vacancies.

The District is responsible for controlling mosquitoes and flies that can be disease-carrying vectors affecting humans, livestock and pets. Board members are appointed by the Clackamas County Commission to a four-year term. The time commitment is about two hours per month and the Board meets at 4:30 pm every second Tuesday of the month either in person at the District office or via Zoom. Board members are paid a $50 monthly stipend for their time.

The CCVCD staff of full-time professionals and seasonal field technicians are involved with sampling and monitoring vector populations, public education and vector control treatments. CCVCD is funded by both a permanent levy of $0.0065 per $1,000 of assessed property value and a local option levy of $0.025 per $1,000 of assessed property value, which expires in 2030.
