Josh Jacobson Selected as New Executive Director

Josh Jacobson Appointed New Executive Director

OREGON CITY, ORE—The Clackamas County Vector Control District (CCVCD) Board of Trustees has selected Josh Jacobson as the district’s new executive director. CCVCD is a special district committed to protecting public health from mosquitoes, flies and vector-borne disease.

“We are fortunate to have Josh taking over the program,” said Dan Green, chairman of the board. “His broad knowledge of the program from top to bottom, coupled with years of experience working with vector control make him well-positioned to lead us into the future. His passion and commitment to the community and improving the program will ensure we can continue to expand our programs and education outreach efforts.”

Josh Jacobson started working for CCVCD eleven years ago as a field technician while pursuing his degree at Oregon State University. After finishing his degree, Josh was offered a job as an assistant biologist position and was promoted to head biologist in 2013. He served as interim executive director earlier this year after the departure of George Peck.

“I’m very honored and excited to have been offered this position and have the opportunity to lead the district’s dedicated staff,” said Jacobson. “I look forward to enhancing operations and customer service for the citizens of this county.”

When he’s not chasing flies and mosquitoes around Clackamas County, Josh enjoys riding motorcycles and ATVs, camping, and hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
